BMS xl is the largest horizontal multistage pump in the BMS family. It is suitable for applications where a high pressure and a high flow are required. Therefore, BMS xl is ideal for industrial water reuse (zero and minimum liquid discharge), reverse osmosis, pressure boosting, filtration, high-pressure cleaning, and liquid transfer.

BMS xl pumps are available in three sizes; BMS xl 125 with 9, 12 or 15 impellers, BMS xl 160 with 10 or 12 impellers and BMS xl 215 with 5, 7, 9 or 11 impellers respectively. Depending on its size, a BMS xl pump can reach a flow rate of 150, 190 or 270 m3/h. BMS xl pumps can increase the system pressure up to 82.7 bar.

The pump is supplied with a built-in non-return valve, a service connector, a standard IE4 asynchronous motor and 6-inch (15 cm) Victaulic couplings. The motor is protected by output filters against overvoltage and increased operating temperature. As a result, BMS xl is very reliable and durable. If maintenance or alignment is needed, BMS xl requires only three tools for dismantling and the shaft seal and thrust bearing are easily accessible.

The stainless-steel pump housing ensures an excellent resistance against corrosive liquids. The overall design of the pump allows applications for different types of water, such as brackish water and sea water.

The enclosure class of the standard IE4 asynchronous motor is IP54. The motor power ranges from 160 to 355 kW. A space heater or an anti-condensation heater is available as an optional accessory. The motor is controlled by a frequency converter and protected by Pt100 sensors. The frequency converter is sold as a separate accessory and must be purchased along with the pump. We recommend a Grundfos CUE frequency converter; however, frequency converters from alternative suppliers can be used as well .
